Weather and Sky:
An gradually improving morning, with little wind, lifting cloud and ceasing drizzle after a clear and frosty early part of the night. Wind: calm to E F2. Temp: +1 initially rising to +2. Precipitation: drizzle between 0830 and c0900hr. Visibility: Bowland Fells / Bradford. Cloud: initially low stratus with base c1400ft asl. Breaking to stratocumulus 5ok. Pressure: gradual rise over last 24hr with 1027 at 0615 rising 1028hpa.

Following departure of the roosting masses, a silent birdless, flat calm winter sky with only the church bells drifting up from the various valleys in waves along with a singing Mistle Thrush and Robins breaking the quiet. The dawn fogs took a long while to clear, appearing over the western moors as a mass of rapidly advancing and then receding mycelium of the worst possible kind!! No definite bird movement noted. All birds seen except for the departing roosters are listed.
