Wilsden 04-06-2006 PM

Yesterday afternoon and into the evening a large (assumed) thunder front advancing from the north and north west induced a movement of Swifts here, if not younger birds, quite possibly a feeding movement. In excess of 100 individuals were noted streaming overhead at intervals, all strict NNW. also two groups of Oystercatchers, a 3 and a 4 passed west, calling as they went.

Anyone else get the Swifts yesterday afternoon?

Dave

Plenty Swifts feeding over Foxhill park Queensbury during the early evening Dave. This is the first noticable numbers up here this year. BS
