Saturday 9th September 2006
0700 – 1000hr. DCB/CK
Weather and Sky:
A morning of south east wind with deep fog initially, clearing briefly, then rolling in again. SE F2 increasing F3. 8 rising 10degC, 200m with 1500m max, fog clearing stratocumulus 6ok then fog again, dry, 1029 falling 1028.

After a promising last part of the night, a terrible morning of deep fogs evacuating from the east, but just c45 minutes of visibility albeit poor allowed all of the action before closing in again just as densely as originally. The best bird was a Buzzard at 0845hr, picked up out to the north, this went straight on SE ignoring the attentions of the local corvids. Otherwise, just a few mipits and Swallows and generally very poor!

Moving birds:
Mipit 122 > S and W
Swallow 41 > S and W
Buzzard 1 > SE
Goldfinch 6 > W
Chaffinch 3 > W
Grey Wagtail 3 > W
Starling 18 > SE

Other:
Willow Warbler 2
