Conditions at 7.45 at Paul Clough were not too bad in view of the forecast of gales. Admittedly there was a strong SW blowing but not enough in my opinion to stop birds moving. What do I know? The birds were marked by their absence as you see below so by 9.00 with the wind getting very strong, it was time to call it a day.
