Brian after receiving your mail, have just looked at the skies over here and find that Swifts are going over > SW at the rate of c20 in 10 minutes.... equates to c120 per hour on a broad front (only 1/4 sky looked at for this count so could be 4x more). Sky overhead almost clear except for a little high cirrus... however more dense and obscure over in the west.
