Wilsden Swifts 09-08-2007

1600 - 1715 Norr Hill
1850 - 2000 obs from home

light and variable, 19degC, clear, 6ok, dry.

Again no Swifts at all today. Last weeks fields full of feeding Swallows and Linnets now nowhere to be seen and probably moved on, just leaving lots and lots of House Martins in their place. No Skylarks or Meadow Pipits either and Starlings / gulls again in short supply this evening. Different were several flocks of Lapwings moving > NW during the evening period, these totalled 51, so at least the watch was worth while.
