REPORT: Oxenhope 16-11-2007

Had a couple of hours at the Watchpoint this morning (08.30 hrs  - 10.30 hrs).F3 SW.7 Oktas improving to 5 Oktas - stratus. Good visibility.

 

Some movement as follows :-

 

Starling - 288 > W (5 parties with max 180).

Brambling - 18 > W (close over sandpits)

Greenfinch - 8 > E (high)

Goldfinch - 1 > S (high)

Reed Bunting - 1 > W

Woodpigs - 220 > N (2 parties going high north over Oxenhope Moor, an hour apart)

 

Other non movers :-

 

Merlin - 1

Kestrel - 3

Goldeneye - male & two female on res

Lapwing - 55 (25 & 30) on two islands far side of res.

Redwing - 3 in wood

Mistle Thrush - 2 in wood

Magpie - 3 in wood

Wren - 1

Carrion Crow - 8

Jackdaw - 2

Small number of BH Gulls and Common Gulls
