Haworth Moor 01-03-2008
Leeshaw Reservoir from the Moor (c) 2008
Haworth Moor 1400 - 1700hr W F6, Hazy, Overcast, Frequently spotting with rain.
Nine Curlew were in Bodkin Fields, a Redshank here also. Greylag and Canada Geese on Leeshaw, albeit very rough water!! Lapwings well spread on breeding territory and a little group of five Golden Plover in these fields also. A Mistle Thrush at Harbour Lodge and a Stonechat near the Spa. Other than this the Moors largely empty of birds, probably emphasised by watching conditions being totally unsuitable!!
