SW F3, 8/8. Dull & grey.Low cloud over moor tops.

 

Moving Birds :

 

Meadow Pipits - 8 north west (a mere trickle)

Swallow - 7 north west

Linnet - 2 north west

Jay - came into plantation from north

Goosander - south

 

Others :

 

Wheatear - 2 (one wave wall, one west side of res)

Stonechat (male) - 1 (wave wall)

Reed Bunting (male - 1

Willow Warbler - 6 (2 Jacks wood,1 plantation,1 embankment path, 2 on east side of res)

Common Sandpiper - pair NW corner of res, displaying like billio.

Redshank - pair NW corner of res

Snipe - two pairs

Mipits - 12 blogging

Skylark - 2

Pied Wagtail - 2 pair

Mistle Thrush - pair

Magpie - 2 wood

Chaffinch - 2 wood

Greenfinch - 4 wood

Goldfinch - 2 wood

Blackbird - pair wood

Starling - 3 wood

Wren - 2

Robin - 1

Woodpigeon - 2

Carrion crow - several

LBB gull - none on res at start & 27 slowly came in mid morning

BH gull - 1 

Goldeneye - pair

Mallard - 3 pairs

Canada Goose - 4 pairs

Curlew - 7
