Some of the Metal Birds...... skies very busy!! (c) 2008
Sorry but I couldnt resist posting this!

1830 - 2100hr

SSE F2, 18degC, clear, 3/8 becomming 7/8, QNH 1013 falling.

A busy evening in all respects! With pressure starting to fall gradually and cloud cover becomming established. Initially not a lot on the move but later on Swifts started to appear after several days absence, all going south east and very high, mainly in singles and loose groups. At least 324 were counted during the period that they had my attention. Two small parties of Curlew passed west totalling 7 birds and a single Lapwing also went west. Many Starlings in small groups powered ESE presumeably off to roost. Well worth watching this evening.

Moving Birds:
Swift 324 > SE
Lapwing 1 > W
Curlew 7 > W
