Hirundines and Swifts 10-08-2008

Arrived at Wharfedale Watchpoint at 1115 as a heavy storm swept in from the west, when it cleared at 1140 some 150 to 200 hirundines were feeding in the lee of the wood and around the buildings, between 1140 and 1300 the feeding flock were mainly House Martins and Sand Martins also 50+ Swifts moved SW into the wind.

1300 to 1430
Swifts continued to move through possibly another 30 or 40 in all, Swallows House Martins and Sand Martins continued to feed around the buildings.
