W F5, 3degC, 60m, 8/8 fog stratus, QNH 1030 falling.

A terrible morning at 450m with drenching wind driven fog stratus "right in the face". Also bitter cold..... with no birds seen and only two mipits and an alba heard on the move! Stuck it out for an hour and a half with no improvement then abandoned. On the way down cloudbase encountered at ~370m. A bright sunny morning throughout to the east of the Pennine uplands!!
