Butterfly Migration

Today here in our part of W Yorks has dawned 7degc cooler (0700 temp) than yesterday with a cF5 westerly wind and heavily overcast with rain overnight.

Does anyone know whether butterflies when migrating follow the drift of the tail wind as they were doing here yesterday, or do they have true ability to orientate as do birds.

From what I saw yesterday and from what has been said…. The above conditions will put the move on ice?

Very interested to see what happens. We vismiggers are ideally placed with all of the migration hotspots already staked out together with a regular presence there?
