SW F5 increasing, 6degC, 20km haze, rain shower, 3/8 increasing 8/8, QNH 1002 falling then rising.
An inactive rain front through from the NW overnight just wetting the ground. Continuing strong wind with rain squalls later on. Six very wary Dunlins present on the shore, then circling this morning, had gone by lunch time. Swifts, best move up here so far with 21 all low in ones and threes off the north end of the water WNW into the wind throughout the visit. Only a single Wheatear seen today working its way NW along the embankment. No other passage seen and no LBB Gulls.

Conditions seemed unsuitable for vis, even the waders!! Light very poor. The most interesting thing this afternoon is that Oystercatchers NOW from this afternoon appear to be holding territory on the reserve.... please keep well away from these birds as well as the Whinchats. A single Dunlin present feeding on the shore and only two LBB Gulls seen moving NW.
Moving Birds:
Lesser black backed Gull 2 > NW
