Hi Dave and Bri, thanks for your comments... very much appreciated. We all three know that the sad time of essentially empty skies is now only two weeks away but hopefully as usual some increasingly intense passage before then. Hope you find the Waxwing Dave, or in fact anythig else as I havent looked.
It is worth pointing out to those that dont watch the vis that Starling migration is often in very small flocks... often much less than 50 or even 20 but we find it exceptionally exciting especially when the flocks are bigger as quite often they just envelope you as into a head wind they pass very low and if you are on a Starling sweet spot... yes they follow the same routes time after time and they are just totally oblivious, often passing inches from you. Great birds!
