1840 - 2100hr
Open sky overnight and until c 1030 when scattered through to c 1700, when light becoming moderate rain from the SW set in. Wind c SW all day F3 until becoming south concurrent with onset of rain late pm. QNH rising all day. Skies and rain very little to the NW... we were just on the very edge. Nothing of yesterdays influx around this evening... will now be someone elses birds!... but nevertheless some turn over as at 1955hr just as the rain grazing us had ceased, Ringed Plover calls were heard and a party of six small waders seen low over the water... when alighted one of them turned out to be a Sanderling! Increasing numbers of mipits in the evening skies up here but interestingly tonight... not a Swallow to be seen... for the first time this season!
