Counting period: 6:45-8:45
Weather: Damp with 100% low cloud a F5 with gust to 6 North wind and a temp of 9c. Very good visibility ranging from 5 to 20+ miles.

Moving Birds:
Mallard - 3
Meadow Pipit 2 + 3
Black-headed Gull 221 + 131
Mistle Thrush - 7
Common Gull - 3
Carrion Crow 2 -
Lesser Black-backed Gull 2 -
Starling 2 -
Woodpigeon 62 -
Greenfinch 3 -
Swallow - 1
Goldfinch 15 + 7
Totals: 464 individuals, 12 species, 2:00 hours
Comments: The main feature of the watch was the strong wind which caused mainly only Gulls to take advantage of the N wind, however like the last couple of days a movement to the W was again noted. One interesting observation was a group of Mistle Thrushes which flew into the wind at a height of only about 4ft.
