Oxenhope, Bradford (W Yorks, England)
Thursday 2 September 2010
Counting period: 18:40-21:00
Weather: E F2, 13degC,30km haze, 2/8, qNH1022 falling
Observers: Dave Barker
Moving birds:
Lapwing 46 -
Herring Gull 3 -
Black-headed Gull 10 -
Swallow 52 -
Lesser Black-backed Gull 52 -
Meadow Pipit 15 -
Totals: 178 individuals, 6 species, 2:20 hours
Comments: Open sky throughout except for the early daylight hours. Wind calm or from an easterly quarter through out. Dry. QNH rising and riging at c0800hr then falling. Swallows were still moving east in the evening when I arrived and continued through to almost sunset suggesting a much bigger daytimr move. Other than this and a few Lapwings just the usual stuff in the sky.
