Comments: Squeezed in a couple of hours (08.00 - 10.00 hrs) this a.m. Beautiful morning, tho` pretty quiet on the movement front up here. Great visibility out to extensive stratocumulus cloudmass down the length of the eastern seaboard. Most interesting at 08.40hr was a flock of 34 moving Curlew+ on a NE to SW track ; picked up far out with a backdrop high over north Leeds, tracked over watchpoint and out high over high moor and into Lancashire. Also two Cormorants tracking very high west, again picked up with north Leeds backdrop, then up Airedale towards Settle. NB no obvious movement of Swallows this a.m. and no sightings of Swift at all. Also.... Grasshopper Warbler - at least 2 still reeling.... Red Kite - single circling exceptionally high. Gulls not counted.
