Comments: Single Redwing call well before sunrise from the low cloudbase at 0625 (LW) unfortunately just before I arrived. Otherwise a poor morning after yesterday with variable visibility but more Redpoll contacts were different. Even tried low watchpoint to get below the cloudbase which had dropped by 0700hr but to no avail. Eventually reasonable visibility did come back with increasing numbers of birds sneaking through the col but far too late in the day for me.

Dave
