Dave
Nathen Dave,
Just managed a 1 hour stint this morning between the showers (09.30 -10.30 hrs). Low hanging and brooding strato-cumulus to NW and brighter to East. Main movement involved swallows which interestingly ,once again, came through in 3 sizeable flocks of circa 20 birds each , just ahead of the rain cloud coming over the moors from Lancs - the "pushing" effect evident again. Mipit movement weak. Male Common Scoter on reservoir about half way down between watch point and hide.Swallows and Mipits all south.
Swallows - circa 85 in total
Mipits - 42
Common Scoter - single adult male on res.
Tufted Duck - 2 on res.
STOAT having a good time for about 15 mins on opposite bank of res (from watch point).
Cheers.
Howard.
