Still Plenty Mipits in the Pennines 30-09-2007

The Sky This Afternoon..... looking west (c) 2007

1600 -1700hr Norr Hill Wilsden

SE F2, 7/8 translucent sky, 60km, Dry.

Further to my mail yesterday and visit to Norr Hill another visit this afternoon. Another big load of blogging Mipits c200+ spread around the various fields and roughs. Probable new arrivals today at the end of this mornings big push? and more than likley waiting to go in the morning? Could tomorrow be another good mipit day here?

Interestingly only 6 Skylarks this afternoon on the rough in contrast to yesterdays 56! Does that mean that yesterdays birds have moved on in either last nights or this mornings perfect conditions?

Blogging Birds:

Mipit c200+
Skylark 6
65 Linnets

Also vis migration still going on:

3 Swallow > S
2 Alba wags > S
1 Reed Bunt > W

For the record here is a perma link to the photos of the mipit and Skylark roughs on the Norr:
