This morning's vis mig counts for Soil Hill between 7.00am and 10.10am were: -

Meadow Pipit 200 generally SW through to SE with a few odd ones going the wrong way.
Pied Wagtail 3 SE
Greenfinch 8 SW
Swallow 2 SW
Skylark 8 S
Starling 2 E
Chaffinch 1 S
Pink-foot Goose - Two skeins of approx. 60+ and 40+ (which you saw too)
Golden Plover 7 SE (Nigel saw those)
Merlin 1

Other local birds were: -
Kestrel 2
Stock Dove 7
Wheatear 1
Meadow Pipit 20+
Skylark 10+
Goldfinch 70+
Pied Wagtail 3
Wren 3

Soil Hill seems to work well as a vis mig site provided you go on a Sat or Sun when the traffic noise is less. Where I was stood gave nearly a 270 degree view of everything from S through to East.
