Caldene Fields Watchpoint 08-10-2008

8th October 08 Watch 6.45 – 08.30
Weather: A dry pleasant morning with 20% high thin cloud to S/W and a F1 S/W wind. After dawn the weather remained stable apart from the wind strength to F2

Comments: An fairly interesting watch not for any large movements but there was a slight movement north of both Greenfinch and Mipit which is unusual. The first real movement of Starling was noted but 2 late Swallows were today’s highlight.

Black Headed Gull > 89 S/S/W
Wood Pigeon > 29 S
Swallow > 2 S
Meadow Pipit > 10 S + 11 N =21
Alba Wagtail > 8 S/W + 3 E =11
Starling > 48 S/W
Mistle Thrush > 5 N/W
Redwing > 26 S/W
Collard Dove >2 S/W
Jackdaw > 11 S/W
Carrion Crow > 9 S/S/W
Chaffinch > 12S/W
