0700 - 1000hr DB / HC
Calm rising ESE F3, 4degC, 100m - 3km max, 1/8, QNH 1013 falling.
SPRING WATCHPOINT: Great to be out but almost devoid of birds in the sky!! Initial dense fogs to the east of the watchpoint invading from time to time on the increasing ESE breeze but we always had vertical visibility. Both Airedale and Calderdale clagged with dense fog, so despite no birds, we probably made the best decision to visit here, on top of the fogs. Not a single moving mipit!!
Moving Birds in order of appearance:
Linnet 2 > N
Reed Bunting 3 > N
and thats it in the three full three hour period!

Completely fogged off at Back Lane this a.m. Dave although blue skies could be seen looking straight up.
Yes, a poor do today Brian. I would believe at our site that it was a tad too cold to start out with? A difficult desision yesterday in choosing todays watchpoint but despite the poor showing I think we got it right?
Dave
Either HCs put weight on or hes come out dressed in his entire wardrobe.
"Mitchelin Man" weather up there Brian! I was a bit the same, even more so as I HAVE put weight on in addition to the five fleeces and two coats!! I try to keep out of the snaps!!
HC will no doubt have some comments??
Dave
