Queensbury...Starling Invasion 14-09-2009
A large fall of Starlings hit Queensbury today with large flocks on rooftops and in the trees.
Foxhill was flooded with them at lunch time with at least 200+ in Foxhill park alone. The neighbours Rowan tree was stripped of berries in less than 1 hour.
These are obviously moving birds from the north.

Just to concur... more about here as well (that is since the post breeders moved on) over the last couple of afternoons.

Still plenty about today (15th) but much lower numbers than yesterday.
