Comments: An excellent day with thrushes coming in from the E. Fieldfares arrived on a broad front to the S/W from the Odsal area through to Wyke a distance of about 6 miles. Redwing numbers were lower coming mainly over the watchpoint. Song thrushes were also with the reds/fields and 11 were positive, but many more will have sneaked in with the distant thrushes. The movement started at 07.46 and lasted till around 12.00. A hundred+ Woodies moved to the W which is unusual here. Bullfinch again moved and at one point I had 7 at the watch point!. Goldfinches showed well as did Common Gull and 3 Goosander nicely finished off a good day!! However, things would have been even better had I not dipped on a party of distance Anser Sp!!!
