Phenomenal mid level cloud... in anticipation of better things to come with a very Red Alert for tonight.... alarm set for midnight but in the event, cloud had deepened with rain on the northern horizon.... so no aurora for us here tonight.... Thanks for the message Sue!
Just had to post this link...... Opposite hemisphere but same cause!

Ever heard of anyone vis migging from Sutton Bank on the southern edge of the Moors north of York?
Hi Tim, never heard of any vis watching activity from Sutton Bank and there have never been any postings on the Yahoo Vis Group re this area. So I would assume its all to find out.... but would be almost certain that there should be a sweet spot somewhere around there which would be especially good for viewing out over the flat lands. We can incidentally just make out your White Horse over the hills and across the valleys from our Oxenhope watchpoint in the Pennines. If you find it is ok, possibly the best thing would be to get a trektellen page set up for it.... Best Wishes and Good Luck, Dave
