The way home.... Snow coming on hard, blizzarding, blowing, drifting and filling in again.
This leg 3#3 with legs 1, 2 and 3 totalling 13 miles+. See below for remaing legs. All in all, an exhillerating and dramatic walk. See below for remaining legs. I know I should have posted them the other way round but have done it now!!

Great pics Dave, doesnt look like theres going to be much birding this easter, what a waste of time off work.
This long spell is going to claim a lot of animals and birds, couldnt have come at a worst time with birds returning and lambing started.
Agree Bri, a disaster. All the lapwings have gone from the high in-byes and not a bird to be seen up there. Had to report some sheep in distress to one of the farmers. In 1962/63 the drifts buried many sheep sheltering as they came so quickly, after a while the foxes got wise, burrowed into the snows and started eating them alive! Watch for any gaps tho as stuff coming in over the south coast and continuing thro north. So must be balling up somewhere and there may well be a rush but probably not before we are all back at work!!.....
Very dramatic snow shots Dave. At least one Osprey has made it to Fife in Scotland - tough little beggar. The passerines are a worry.
p.s. Is that a Hurricane out in the North Atlantic !!!!. Does not look a happy bunny.2114
Seen it Howard, so many tentacles that it resembles an Octopus, hopefully might just graze us and not a direct hit! what wories me tho is that the Jet Stream will be staying way south for weeks and who knows what that may bring....
Causeway just dug out yesterday evening... so things are improving!!....
