Oxenhope Watchpoint 11-04-2007

0720 - 1030hrs DCB
W F4, 7 > 12degC, 20 > 60km, 8/8 > 4/8, 1023 steady.

An improving morning but the vis was dire! Pipits were strong initially with a group of 11 but this was not to hold as the infrequent trickle soon decreased to singles - where is the big spring wave this year? This type of weather obviously dosent suit the vis. A pair of Little Ringed Plovers over flew the reservoir gaining height and continuing to the north and thats about it for this morning. No sign of the Water Pipit.

Moving Birds:
Meadow Pipit 65 > N
LR Plover 2 > N
Mistle Thrush 3 > N
Alba 2 > NE
Linnet 2 > N
Skylark (calls from two heard)
