Stockbridge 20-03-2008

Conditions in the hills this morning were very poor with winds W F6 gusting at least F8 (ie too strong to support visible migration or watching of same in the open). Temp was 5degC with driving rain. 8ok overcast.

However in the bottom of Airedale at Stockbribge NR, Keighley conditions were nowhere near as bad and Meadow Pipits were noted trickling up the valley in its shelter, through the reserve, NW into the wind throughout the morning in ones and twos.
