Oxenhope / Queensbury 12-09-2008.

Oxenhope
0700hr conditions.
WNW F2, 12degC, 20km decreasing, 8/8 overcast, QNH 1011 rising.
Some light rain by 0800hr then clearing up but remaining overcast.

No am count today but Meadow Pipits moving well at some other sites in northern England with c4000 south at one site in the morning.


At Foxhill, Queensbury:
Another day of steady flowing Mipits early doors all > S

NNW F2, 13degC, 20km improving, 8/8 stratus with light rain ceasing at 1830hr, QNH 1014 rising.

No moving passerines this evening but three Shelduck and two Common Scoters on the water were birds of the day all left west at c1920 just as the light was thickening.
