Caldene Fields, Low Moor, Bradford, W Yorks.
30th October 08 Watch 06.45 - 09.30

Weather: A cold dry start with dull overcast skies. 80% high cloud with clearer skies to the east. Deteriorating visibility from 11 miles to around 5 miles by 08.30 with low ground mist. Temp 0c A F2/3 N/W wind.

Comments: With viewing conditions being poor today I was' Brought firmly back to earth' with only 37 Woodies noted moving south! However, there has been a Thrush and Starling movement here although not in great numbers. Redwing/ Fieldfare moved W/S/W and Starling moved in general fairly low and in two distinct directions W and S/W, 27 parties in all were noted with the largest group been 100. There appeared to by little finch movement here today apart from 1 party of 32 Goldfinch W

Moving Birds:
Black Headed Gull > 5 S/S/W
Wood Pigeon > 37 S + 315 N (1party) = 352
Alba Wagtail > 3 W
Starling > 526 W + 233 S/W = 759
Fieldfare > 152 W/S/W
Redwing > 548 W/S/W
Mistle Thrush > 1 S/W
Carrion Crow > 2 S
Chaffinch > 5 W
Greenfinch > 21 W/S/W
Goldfinch > 32 W + 11 S = 43

300+ unidentified Geese flew N ( probably PFG ) well to the east of Bierley.
