Caldene Fields Watchpoint 18-11-2008
Caldene Fields, Low Moor, Bradford.
18th November 08 Watch 07.15 – 08.45
Weather: A mild clear start to the watch with a F1 W/N/W wind and 30% cloud cover to the S/E. Very good visibility to 11 miles reducing to 5 miles after dawn as sunny conditions created low mist to the E/S/E. Temp 8c
Comments: A slight Wood Pigeon movement was noted today moving mainly to the S. Starling were noted for their absence with 9 (genuine) passage birds noted. Just after dawn Greenfinch powered through but then dramatically dropped off around 08.15. Dipped again on 2 high flying Swans to the E of the watchpoint and the highlights were a single flock of Golden Plover N and a resting Reed Bunting which after a few weak calls flew off W.

Alba Wagtail > 7 S + 3 W = 10

Chaffinch > 4 W
Redpoll > 2 S + 3 N =5
Reed Bunting > 1 W
Swan Sp (possible Whooper) > 2 S
