Whitefield (Manchester) 26-10-2005
Just in case you don’t recognise the locality, Whitefield is in the Manchester area, near Bury. Simon Johnson. Of Denholme Clough fame, very sadly currently laid up with a broken kneecap and on crutches (Simon said I had to mention this) very kindly provided the following sightings of the "exceptional" vis passing his house this morning. All as seen from his balcony! and between 0830 and 1030hr, only after he realised that there was a lot going past. As requested Simon I will post this also on the Newsgroup and also see if anyone knows which local group covers this area. Great Stuff Simon, Keep me posted as to any more vis you get from over that direction as it is a great comparison and at very least gives a degree of scale to the vast thrush movements currently occurring.

Weather:
Clear, but with some low cloud with some open sky and sun every now and again.
