Weather and Sky:
A deteriorating afternoon with poor visibility with increasing wind and cloud, following bright and sunny earlier period. Wind: W F4 gusting F5. Temp:9. Visibility: 10 - 20km max. Cloud: stratus. Pressure:1035hpa slight rise over last 24hr.
No passerine movements or gull departures at all this afternoon. However, thousands of gulls arriving to roost, upto c6000, mainly small gulls by 1615hr. Reduction in percentage of Commom Gull.

Proportion Common Gull c30%, = c1800
Black-headed Gull c70%, = c4200
Herring Gull = 23,
Lesser-black backed Gull = 1

Robin – one on moor.

Some kingfisher pics for you - its an adult female and it already had a ring on it when I caught it near the Wharfe at Otley - will be interesting to see where its come from.

Yes it was friday - its none of the east dales ringing group rings and none of the other "local" ringer" so its moved from somewhere interesting.
