Oxenhope Watchpoint 27-10-2007

0730 - 0900hr (Dave Barker / Howard Creber)
S F4, 7degC static, 300m fog stratus, 8/8, QNH 1019 steady.

An uninproving morning of fog stratus, with its base at c1100ft (our watchpoint at c1250ft), essentially we were all the time above the cloudbase.... ie no good for the vis! Consequently the only birds we saw appart from the gulls and Goosanders leaving the roost were one alba wagtail and two Carrion Crows! On at least six occasions Redwing parties or singles were heard but not seen overhead. Another terrible morning!!
