Wild Skys at the Watchpoint.... looking north (c) 2008

1830 - 2030hrs
W F2/3, 15degC, 65km, 4/8, cumulonimbus, QNH 1009 steady.

Empty skys again this evening and as suspected the large pre roost gull gathering and passage of last week has totally dispursed and birds moved on which indicates most have moved out of the area..... somewhat early! There may be more to come. Only four well spaced LBB Gulls were seen to go NW and no small gulls were seen at all. A single Curlew overflew going east. Otherwise apart from several Woodpigeons going south to roost the place and the skys were devoid of birds. A lonesome Golden Plover was calling from the moor.... Total desolation! A visit late morning also found the same devoid state.

Moving birds:
LBB Gull 4 > NW
Curlew 1 > E
