Caldene Fields Watchpoint 21-10-2006

21st of October 06 watch 0.7.30 – 10.00
Weather: A dry morning with 80% cloud cover with thinner cloud to the east. Cloud cover decreasing to around 50% at 09.00 with sunny intervals to the east. Heavy low cloud rolled in from the S/W around 10.00. Temp 10c, a F1S wind with visibility beyond 2 miles.

Comments: An excellent watch with good numbers of Redwing and Black Headed Gull moving through. First sightings of Siskin and Brambling and Carrion Crow was moving south which was unsual.

Weather and Sky:
An overcast morning with rain by 1000hrs. SSW F2, 10degC, 30km, 7ok, 991hPa rising.

A magical morning of thrushes and Starlings flooding through at all levels below the low cloudbase. Due to a combination of factors sadly only the highlights are enumerated.
