Caldene Fields Watchpoint

10th September  Watch from 07.30 – 09.30

Weather: Dry, sunny with 20% cloud increasing to 60% cloud by 08.30.  Wind W/N/W F4 with gust to F5. Visibility beyond 2 miles

 

Comments: Interesting direction of movement of Meadow pipit

Stock dove > 2W

Wood Pigeon > 4W

Swallow > 16N/W

Meadow Pipit > 9N/W

Greenfinch > 2W

Saturday 8th

Not a bad morning with a bit of movement and a few warblers in the bushes.

Sunday 9th

Virtually no movement at all for the first hour and then a Tree Pipit went by, a few Mipits and then nowt again. There was a mass of hirundines over Doe Park reservoir but this morning they stayed.

Monday 10th
Arrived at work in Shipley (West Yorkshire)and within minutes of being here 4 Swallows and 2 Mipits flew through west.

Also large numbers of hirundines over and around Barden Tower.
