Kex Gill 06-07-2009

1930 -2100 6/8 cloud, NW 2 humid.

Curlew 7 SW- 1 Flock

BHG 6N

LBBG 2W

also 6 Willow Warblers in small wood

On lakes by dog leg in road by Kex Gill (back lake in fact)- Greenshank 1, Redshank 3, Curlew 2, Oik 2.

With the combination of a small isolated wood - all low trees, lake and the quarry this would be a fine place to have Bradfords inland Bird Observatory (better find some birds first). Flippancy appart the little wood would be a fantastic place for a heligoland trap right at the top of the Kex Gill 'Pass'.
