Wilsden... still quiet! 16-09-2009

Sunrise this morning... deep cloud over the North Sea and also overhead! (c) 2009

NE F1, 9.2degC, 65km, 6/8 deep cloud over North Sea and o/h, QNH 1027 steady/falling.

A meander up to c1000 feet asl early doors. I dont think we are missing anything at this end yet. A good sunrise through the deep cloud over the sea and the overhead stuff, through the open sky between. Scattered mipits going through south from 0638 just before sunrise but only small numbers. Also an alba going south and a small party of chaffs. Gulls still going north says a lot. Most interestingly a large well spread congregation of total 37 albas which looked to be all pieds were feeding up in one of the fields.
