Thursday 8th June 2006
0700 – 0930hr
Weather and Sky:
A sultry morning initially with milky dancing light making conditions poor. Wind: NW var F1 – F2. Temperature: 0530hr +10degC, 0930hr +19degC. Visibility: initially 5000m, increasing 9km. Cloud: cirrostratus very translucent 9ok. Pressure: 1027hPa steady.

Milky dancing light making longer range conditions impossible! And no good for the camera either. However a good passage of Lesser black backed Gulls with at least 33 closer range birds going N and NW. Otherwise just a few Swifts and Rooks and a single Black headed Gull > S. Starling movement direction could mot be determined this morning.

Moving birds:
BH Gull 1 > S
Rook 4 > S
LBBG 33 > N and NW
Swift 10 > S and NW
Starling 206

Some others:
Cuckoo 3 + 1 = 4
Curlew with trailing leg back on same breeding territory for at least 4 years now.
