[vismig] Mipits in the Low Countries

Mipits are beginning to surge through the Low Countries (see trektellen) with a massive influx of c63000 moving birds today 16-04-2008. Max at one site 36483!!

Keep Watching Tim, I dont think its too late!!

W F4/F5.Low cloud initially which cleared to give sunny conditions (2/8). Stratocumulus, fractus, some distant cumulonimbus (both east & west), velum.

Birdwise, a suprisingly quiet morning. Very little vis mig :-

Mipits - 23 movers
Sand Martin - 6 through fast, SE to NW, high over Jacks.

Others :

Golden Plover - 70
LBB - 28 on res at first.All slowly departed.
Wheatear - 1
Reed Bunting - 1 male.
Goldeneye - 1
Redshank - on southern wave wall
Chaffinch,Greenfinch,Robin, Wren & Mistle Thrush in Jacks wood.
