Usual local birds. COMMENTS Yet another mediocre day at best. Probably 60% of the Mipits recorded were only detected by disciplined scoping out over Clayton and Wibsey. No Redwings or even Song Thrushes. The first genuine Starling "squadron" of the season powered through NW below the banking and over the sandpits at 08.30 hrs - they were really steaming.
