Moderate rain over night then mainly overcast with bright periods during the morning... sky improving pm. Wind from a westerly quarter and QNH falling throughout. Nothing in the skies except for the gulls until c 1930 when a few mipits started moving west

Glovershaw... more spotted spotted! 17-08-2010

In the Glovershaw / Sconce area this morning, came across more night migrants. The triangle was busy with Willow Warblers but also held a Spotted Fly & Whitethroat. Further across to the old holiday homes again in trees full of Willow Warblers, both Spotted Fly, Redstart & Whitethroat found. Expected more at Golcar Farm but just a single Whitethroat there. 2 Wheatear also seen near Glovershaw next to golf course.
