Hello Dave,

Here is today`s report.

Watch period - 07.30 hrs to 10.30 hrs. SE F1.No fog today thank goodness, though early murk to the east took some time to clear.Only towards the end of the watch did easterly visibility improve out to Cookridge. To the west, Ingleborough in view and Great Whernside to the north.Initially dense Altocumulus (4 Oktas) which slowly dissipated and small amounts of cirrus & cirrus undulatus.Very cold morning with frost remaining until sun got high.

Pleasingly thrushes were to the fore today, principally Redwings - 12 parties (range 5 - 70)totalling 371 birds - followed by Fieldfare - 8 parties (range 4 - 92) totalling 191 birds. The earlier parties were circa 300 feet high and the later parties were pretty much at eye level. Also a party of 5 Blackbird high SE was interesting.
