Weather and Sky:
Another very cold morning similar to yesterday but with a little more high cloud and improving visibility. Some thaw of lying snow that was in the sun yesterday but otherwise no thaw. Water c80% frozen. Wind: WNW F2 / 3. Temperature: not as cold as last night but still freezing at -1.5degC at 1130hr air temp out of sun. Visibility: improving from +60km initially to 100km max by 1130hr. Precipitation: none - snow still lying as yesterday. Cloud: some variable cirro sp but mainly open overhead. Deep cumulus noted in and to be advancing from the WSW by 1130hr. Pressure: 1005hpa at 0730hr, rising to 1007 by 1030hr.

No moving birds at all in the first hour but then between 1000 and 1030hr a little action, including Meadow Pipits (the first to date), Pied Wagtails, Golden Plover, a few gulls and a couple of Stock Doves.
