Wilsden Tonight 24-08-2007

Clear and Open Sky Tonight (c) 2007

1840 - 2000hr obs from home

W F3, 15degC, 1/8, Brilliant sunshine, clear and dry.

A clear and fresh evening after a hot day with an open sky. Very few birds at all tonight with a clear out of House Martins, just c25 assumed locals in the sky. No Gulls, no Starlings and no mipits. About 20 lapwings were in the top field and both Sparrowhawk and Kestrel were in the sky. A poor and cloudless sunset.

Queensbury Tonight 24-08-2007

Bright sunshine, clear skies,strong W> 4-5

In contrast to last nights House Martin influx, tonight the skies have been quiet with no hirundine movement at all. The only birds seen were the usual gulls and corvids going to roost. There are now quite a few Common gulls in with the Black Heads.
