0700 – 0930hr
Weather and Sky:
An other hot and sultry morning with open sky but haze and cumulus lower than the elevation of the watchpoint. Wind: initially calm but soon picking up to E F1 then F2. Temperature: 12 degC at 0545hr rising 20degC by 0945hr. Visibility: Mist initially 3000m increasing 5000m. Cloud: open sky 0ok at watchpoint elevation. Pressure: 1025hPa steady.

Starlings were again the birds of the day with a total of 1050 in small groups coming in from the South and going on to the North and were more towards the end of the visit. Gulls passing over on the increase with c 75 LBBG and 4 Herring Gulls noted. In addition a large group of loafers were present. A Little Stint first heard and then seen at 0815hr being chased and then driven of to the far end by Lapwings and then Common Sands was very active when on the ground. This bird was last heard at c0915hr and may have left then. The first loafing Lapwings were present with at least 5 overflying to the NW. Dunlins were display calling with four present.
